A lovely little vintage pine table standing firmly on beautiful turned legs. It needed a a little bit of tlc & then I hand painted it using various paint technique’s in Annie sloan chalk paint. A blend of colours was used to create this almost denim like effect. A base coat of firle green followed by Old violet, I then applied a colour wash of Paris grey with little speckled effects of old white. A little distressing was carried out to expose a hint of Firle & the natural wood. The whole table was then waxed with clear wax & a touch of black wax. The wax provides durability & a soft sheen. The top was treated with 5 coats of Danish oil bringing out the lovely golden tones & at the same time preserving the wood & making it water resistant. There are a few splits in the wood due to old age but nothing that detracts from its character. This is an old table so there are signs of wear & tear & a litle dent on the table top. There are also some black markings which can be seen in the photos. It would make a lovely little desk or small kitchen table in a rustic farmhouse kitchen. Please remember that this is a old vintage piece of furniture, therefore it will show signs of character & slight wear & tear, any obvious characteristics are specified. I do take a lot of care refurbishing all old vintage furniture but always without ruining the history or character of the item. DELIVERY Delivery cost is a guide price only.
