Too many clothes but not enough space >
Wardrobe space can be a problem in small spaces especially if you have a small bedroom with not much space to fit a wardrobe. Whether you have a small 1 door wardrobe or a large 3 door wardrobe there is always room for more. Here are some of the ways you can utilise your wardrobe space to its best ability.
Make room for more
Vacuum packs and other storage bags are a very handy item to have in your wardrobe. Try and organise your clothes in to summer and winter items. This way, when it comes to winter you can pack all of your summer clothes into a vacuum pack and store them somewhere out of the way. This will allow you more room for your winter clothes and will also allow room for more. Vice versa, in the summer you can pack all your chunky knitted jumpers away- allowing for more space.
Avoid the floor-drobe with wardrobe accessories
Wardrobe accessories such as hanging shelves and adding storage boxes to your wardrobe are a great way to add extra space to organise your clothes and shoes. This extra storage will also allow you to stow-away any other items you don’t want on show in your bedroom, such as cosmetics, jewellery etc. which will leave your room looking clutter free and tidy.
Double-up
Hangers can be hung onto each other to allow more hanging space. This will avoid your hanging rail becoming overloaded which can crease your clothes. By conjoining your hangers, it will create a tiered hanging space for your wardrobe.
Adding more
If you have the space, there might be room for you to add to your wardrobe. By adding a one-door wardrobe to the side of the wardrobe or in a corner of your room will give you more hanging space. The mirrored one door wardrobes are perfect as they incorporate the mirror instead of having to find space to hang the mirror. Alternatively, you can always hang your mirror on the inside of your wardrobe door.
Clothes Rail
If you are struggling to even fit a wardrobe in your small space clothes rails are a great solution. You can get a covered clothes rail which gives the impression of a wardrobe or you can get an open clothes rail.
